At OPGS, we hold firm on our responsibility to deliver a broad and balanced curriculum, an exceptional standard of teaching and learning and a wider range of extra-curricular opportunities. We have high standards of behaviour and our pupils are ‘polite and courteous,’ contributing significantly to our consistently positive learning environment.
It is a real honour to be the Headteacher of this magnificent school. I, and every staff member, have high aspirations for every young person that attends our school. These high expectations are demonstrated through a broad and challenging curriculum, exceptional standards in regards to behaviour and attitudes and a commitment to delivering a wide range of extra-curricular and enrichment experiences. We are well known for our outstanding level of pastoral support and care. Our young people are well supported with their personal development but also challenged academically so that they can achieve to the best of their ability. Our outcomes at GCSE and A Level are exceptional and allow OPGS students to acquire the qualifications and skills necessary to take the next steps in their own personal journey.
Please contact the school if you would like to visit us and see for yourself.

Now that our open events for joining us in Year 7 have come to an end, we wish to say thank you to every prospective family that came to have a look at our school. We had over 650 families visit us and hope that they all left with a real sense of what life at this school is like. Strive and Serve.

Two for Tuesday: Photograph 1 celebrates three students who performed exceptionally well in the Maths Olympiad for Girls. Photograph 2 showcases an amazing A Level RS lesson today, where students were engaging in a silent debate. It was fascinating to see lines of reasoning, responses and arguments forming in a classroom where you could hear nothing but classical music (the students choice).

Well done to our 6th Form students who attended the Model UN conference at Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School on Friday and Saturday. They all performed exceptionally well and it was lovely to see Charlotte and Tomilola achieve recognition as Highly Commended Delegates. Those representing France also were acknowledged as a Highly Commended Delegation. A huge congratulations to Arthur, who was recognised as the Outstanding Delegate! Well done! However, this post would not be complete without us acknowledging Cameron. Whilst he did not achieve formal recognition, he was the only individual to deliver a speech which led to a spontaneous round of applause from the entire assembly. His passion and commitment to the process was inspiring!
