"I wanted to say something about my values and vision for the school.
I am passionate about education and learning and want to give the pupils at Oakwood Park the opportunity to fulfil their potential. I do place great emphasis on academic achievement since it will give pupils the chance to pursue their goals in the future. I also recognise that we must provide pupils with an opportunity to enrich their experience of school, be it sporting or cultural. Oakwood Park has a wealth of these opportunities and I am keen to extend them.
I also believe that schools should be educating young people to play a worthwhile role in society and therefore tolerance of others, respect for the views of others and compassion towards those less fortunate than ourselves are very much at the core of my values.
Oakwood Park Grammar School has already achieved much in the last few years and I am keen to see it develop into a centre of excellence with a continued emphasis on high quality pastoral care but also with a reputation for innovation and forward-thinking." |
