In Year 7 we study

•  The Roman Empire

•  UK History 1066-1500

In Year 8 we study

•  Black Peoples of the Americas

•  UK History 1500-1750

In Year 9 we study

•  UK History 1750-1900

•  Era of World War II

Extension work

We supplement this with varied additional work on topics such as World I, the Aztecs and Local History.

In the past students have produced excellent projects on topics such as the History of Coxheath, Grand-fathers who fought in World War II, the Home Front in Kent and the Ancient Egyptians.

Enrichment days and trips

Citizenship Days in Year 7, 8, 9 - Including Civil Rights, Multi-Culturalism, Human Rights and the Holocaust.

Various History Trips - Including, World War II sights in France and Saffron Walden.
