A Level Music Technology (Edexcel) develops studio recording, computer generated scores, arranging and listening skills. There is no performance requirement. Knowledge of the standard notation is a major advantage. Pupils are expected to be highly self motivated and dedicated to creating industry standard sounds. We have a fully equipped recording studio and computers used solely for music tech. The department won a Good Schools Guide award in 2005.

Extension Work

Music Technology benefits from our association with Old Barn Studio. Specialist sound engineering expertise is offered several times each term. We also have a dedicated technician 3 days a week able to offer assistance.
