Enrichment days and trips

Enrichment days in the PE department are an excellent way for the boys in each form to work closely together. The form sports captain is in charge of arranging two teams to compete in the inter-form football, rugby and cricket competitions. They have to ensure that everyone within the form is involved in some capacity; this could be experiencing a number of different roles from player or coach to referee.

Enrichment days are also used to enhance the pupil's knowledge and understanding of PE by focusing on Analysis of Performance within the sports we cover. By doing this it provides the pupil's with the skills necessary to coach themselves and each other in order to improve their performances.

The PE enrichment days are extremely popular with the students and although each form is competitive during the matches they all demonstrate excellent sportsmanship throughout.

The PE Department are also developing the range of activities available to pupils on Enrichment Days and are looking into future days which involve Swimming (KEY STAGE 3) and Outdoor and Adventurous Activities.
