Student Voice

The student Voice is a key part of the life at Oakwood Park and it is run by the Senior Middle School Prefects who have to apply for their rule in the Spring Term of each year.  The Middle school Prefects then organise a team of students each year across the school from year 7 to year 13. Each year group has 10 members of the student voice, 2 students from each House.  The team meets regularly both as a full council and in their year groups and are always keen to hear student ideas and help deal with any issues.

Members of the student voice are involved in every teacher interview in the school and are consulted on areas for development that involve the students.  The current areas that the students are discussing and exploring with the staff are:

  • School Day
  • Home School Agreement
  • PSHCEE
  • Rewards and Sanctions
  • New Building Plans and Fundraising
