Oakwood Park Grammar School is a High Performing Specialist School with specialisms in Mathematics and Computing and Applied Learning.
Our mission statement "Oakwood Park Grammar School, An Exceptional Learning Experience" seeks to explain our ambition for all of our students and members of the school community. We seek to engage our students in their learning with high quality teaching and a wealth of opportunities both inside and out of the classroom.
Our Enrichment Days, which take place once a fortnight, allow our students and teachers to pursue learning in more depth both in school and through a wealth of trips to museums and places of interest.
We have a reputation for innovative approaches to learning and in 2009 we received designation from the University of Exeter as a Thinking School, one of only two secondary schools nationally to achieve this accolade.
We pride ourselves in the academic achievement of our students, but the personal development of students (graded outstanding in our most recent Ofsted Inspection) is also of great importance to us. Excellent pastoral care, mentoring and advice and guidance ensure that no student is lost in the crowd. Our positive relationship with parents and carers is also vital to ensure that the school continues to go from strength to strength.
Oakwood Park Grammar School has achieved much in the last few years. Our aim of making our school "An Exceptional Learning Experience" for all our students mean we will not be complacent but continue to be innovative and forward thinking.
