Oakwood Park Grammar School
There is an opportunity to appoint a qualified, innovative and dynamic leader for the Modern Foreign Languages Department. The successful candidate will be expected to lead the development of the different areas of the curriculum to ensure high quality teaching, standards and achievement.
This is an ideal post for a passionate language practitioner, ready to take on the responsibility of embedding curriculum development and encouraging pupils to study a Foreign Language at A Level.
The successful candidate should be able to teach across all key stages, up to and including A Level, with the ability to inspire and challenge our able linguists. The successful candidate will oversee the development of both languages. French and Spanish are taught from Year 7 through to Year 9 with all students following a GCSE in one or more modern foreign language subjects as part of their core curriculum in Years 10 and 11. Spanish and French are also taught at A level. The ability to teach Spanish in all key stages would be an advantage.
