At OPGS we are always striving to match the needs of our students to the rapidly changing economic and higher education environments. The number and variety of offers of places from Oxbridge and other elite universities continues to grow. In recent years, we have also consolidated our connections with City firms and engineering companies. Every year we follow with excitement the careers of our students from years gone by. The fact that so many are keen to take current OPGS 6th Forms students on for work experience is testament to the warm and lasting relationships our staff develop with our 6th Form students.

Congratulations Year 13! We are so proud of this cohort of brilliant young people who have worked so hard to achieve their exceptional results. Behind every headline figure or grade is a student who has worked and committed to their studies to earn their grades. We are delighted to confirm that their efforts and the solid work of staff in this school, means that these results are the highest the school has achieved at A Level. Enjoy celebrating Year 13.

Huge congratulations to Ethan who secured pole position, two races wins and an unofficial lap record during free practice during the British Talent Cup (round 4) at Brands Hatch last weekend. This is made even more impressive given it was his first time racing at this circuit. Well done, Ethan.

Not long to go until GCSE Results Day. A letter has been sent to current students, so please ensure you have read this (pdf link below). If you are an external student with an offer, or you are still considering your options, contact us via 6thformadmissions@opgs.org or call us on Results Day. There are many reasons to consider joining the OPGS Sixth Form. Significant investment in exclusive 6th form facilities, a huge range of courses, brilliant teaching and an 'Outstanding' provision are just a few of those reasons. We look forward to seeing you! https://www.opgs.org/_site/data/files/files/sixthformtransition/D9CC8F7E2085FB46468787A00E0CE103.pdf

We would like to wish the entire OPGS community a restful summer. Please do have a read of the Headteacher's Newsletter as this contains important information if you require support over the summer. It is also worth having a good read of the school magazine or listening to the new Science Edit podcast to stay connected with the school over the break. Emergency safeguarding and contact details are also available on our website if you need support. Year 11 and Year 13 students also need to keep an eye on emails for details of results collection. Stay safe and see everyone soon!
