We have a highly motivated and well qualified staff, supportive parents and, perhaps most importantly, students who are a delight to teach because of their excellent attitude to learning.
At OPGS we are always striving to match the needs of our students to the rapidly changing economic and higher education environments. The number and variety of offers of places from Oxbridge and other elite universities continues to grow. In recent years, we have also consolidated our connections with City firms and engineering companies. Every year we follow with excitement the careers of our students from years gone by. The fact that so many are keen to take current OPGS 6th Forms students on for work experience is testament to the warm and lasting relationships our staff develop with our 6th Form students.

Congratulations to our Sixth Form Chemistry students (not all pictured here!) who have just received their results from the Royal Society of Chemistry's Olympiad competition. All students achieved either bronze, silver or gold certificates. Rhiannon A, Arthur M, Marcus C, Nathan P, Joshua B and Alex A took gold, an incredible achievement which puts them in the top 8.5% of the competition. Well done all.

The Science Department have just released their latest newsletter. Lots there to watch, listen and read - for students, staff and parents. Don't forget there's also The Science Edit podcast, created by Head of Science, Miss Limer with contributions from our brilliant science staff and of course some of our A Level students. If you are joining us in September, whether in Year 7 or in Year 12, it'll give you an excellent insight into the knowledge and passion staff have for their subjects at OPGS.
